Juan Velarde<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n

Juan Velarde is currently one of Spain’s top aviators. He is a commercial pilot for Iberia Airlines, flying as a Captain on the Airbus A330. He began flying gliders at 15 and made his first solo flight when he turned 16. After finishing school, Velarde went to Anchorage, Alaska for a private pilot course and returned to Spain, where he worked towing gliders while studying to become a commercial pilot in Madrid and Florida. He later became a flight instructor in Fort Worth, Texas. In Spain, he worked as a freight pilot and joined Iberia at just 22 years old.<\/h5>\n
Velarde began flying aerobatics in 1999 and later joined the Spanish National Aerobatic Team. He took part in all the European and World Aerobatic Championships between 2004 and 2011. He helped Spain win the team silver medal at the 2007 World Aerobatic Championship and one silver and two bronze medals at the European Aerobatic Championships 2006, 2008 and 2014. He has two gold, four silver, and one bronze medal in Spain’s National Championships, and in 2010 he won the Spanish overall Aerobatics Championship. Since 2006 he has been an Elite Sportsman by the Spanish Sports Counciland in 2024 he has won the Spanish Free Style Aerobatic Championship.<\/h5>\n
Juan flies historic aircraft as a volunteer pilot at the Infante de Orleans Foundation, one of the most prestigious classic aviation collections in Europe.<\/h5>\n
Between 2014 and 2019 he was the only Spaniard competing in the fastest motor sport in the world, the Formula 1 of the air: the Red Bull Air Race.<\/h5>\n
Currently, he competes in Free Style Aerobatics, Air Races and performs aerial displays.<\/h5>\n

Patrick Koch<\/h3>\n

Patrick Koch began flying in 1996 and, since his beginnings, he has flown 26 different airplane models. His enormous passion for aviation led him to start flying aerobatics back in 2001 and he has become an expert pilot in different modalities since then.<\/h5>\n
He has won two titles as Spanish Champion in Sportsman and Intermediate categories, and is also leader of the Yak Stars Aerobatic Formation Team with which he performs flight displays at the largest air shows in Spain and Portugal.<\/h5>\n
His high professionalism and work capacity has led him to join our team, currently flying as Media Pilot in the Extra 330LX.<\/h5>\n
